Cynthia “Cindy” Ann Crawford (born February 20, 1966) is a supermodel and actress. She is a 1984 graduate of Dekalb High School (in Dekalb, IL), where she participated in many activities, including Student Council and Pep Club. Crawford was also a National Honor Society member as well as a member of the Math Team and ended up being valedictorian of her graduating class.

Crawford began modeling as a teenager and soon became internationally known as a supermodel. She has graced the covers of numerous magazines and walked many runways over the years. Although she stopped full-time modeling in 2000, she remains one of the most famous supermodels in the world and continues to appear in fashion magazines from time to time.

Crawford’s career has also branched out in a number of different directions. In 1989, she began hosting MTV’s House of Style. She has starred in a series of fitness videos and appeared in several music videos, including those for George Michael’s “Freedom! ‘90” and Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood.” Crawford starred in 1995’s Fair Game and also appeared in 1998’s 54 (among several other big-screen performances). She has also launched several product lines.

Crawford’s daughter, Kaia Gerber, is also a model. The two were photographed together for the cover of the April 2016 issue of Vogue Paris.
