Ian Andrew Ziering (born March 30, 1964) is an actor. He is a 1982 graduate of Mountain High School (now West Orange High School), in West Orange, NJ, where he was a member of the swim team. Ziering began acting professionally while still in school, making both his small- and big-screen debuts in 1981 (in the soap opera The Doctors and in the movie Endless Love). He appeared in Guiding Light, a couple of after-school specials, and an episode of Married…with Children before getting his big career break. In 1990, Ziering was cast as Steve Sanders in the series Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990-2000), and it is this role for which he is perhaps best known. In the years after 90210, Ziering has been making guest appearances in a variety of programs. In addition to competing in season 4 of Dancing With the Stars and in 2015’s Celebrity Apprentice, he has acted in shows such as JAG and CSI: NY. Ziering can also be seen in 2012’s That’s My Boy. The actor has been experiencing something of a career renaissance for his recent portrayal of Fin Shepard in the humorously ridiculous Sharknado film series (with the 5th installment due out later in 2017). Fun fact: Back in the early 2000s, Ziering hosted a reality show for Classmates, in which former schoolmates were reunited.
