Daniel Jason Sudeikis (born September 18, 1975) is a comedian and actor. He attended Rockhurst High School (in Kansas City, MO) and Shawnee Mission West High School (in Overland Park, KS), graduating from the latter in 1994. He played basketball during all four years of high school and was a varsity guard as a senior.

Following his graduation, a young Jason Sudeikis got into comedy – particularly improv comedy – and became part of The Second City Touring Company. In 2003, he joined Saturday Night Live as a sketch writer. Two years later, he became a cast member, staying with the show until 2013.

Sudeikis was involved in television and movie projects even before leaving SNL. He appeared in a number of episodes of 30 Rock (as one of Liz Lemon’s love interests) and had a recurring role in Eastbound & Down. He was also a regular voice in The Cleveland Show. Earlier movies include The Rocker (2008), Horrible Bosses (2011), and We’re the Millers (2013). His first starring big-screen role was in 2011’s Hall Pass.

More recent credits include the films Colossal (2016), Downsizing (2017), and Kodachrome (2017). He has had a recurring role in The Last Man on Earth since 2015 and is an executive producer – and occasional guest star – for the series Detroiters.
