Joseph Anthony “Joe” Mantegna (born November 13, 1947) is an actor, producer, writer, and director. He graduated from J. Sterling Morton East High School, in Cicero, IL, in 1965, where he participated in drama. Mantegna began his acting career on stage, performing in the musical Hair in 1969. He progressed to film and television in the following decade and continues to add to an extensive list of acting credits. Some of the projects for which he is best known include The Godfather Part IIIForget Paris, the miniseries The Last Don, and the miniseries The Rat Pack. Mantegna also stars in the series Criminal Minds (for which he has also directed several episodes) and has a recurring role as Fat Tony in The Simpsons. He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2011.
