Stephanie “Stevie” Lynn Nicks (born May 26, 1948) is a singer-songwriter. She is a 1966 graduate of Menlo-Atherton High School, in Atherton, CA, where she participated in drama.

A young Stevie Nicks met future bandmate Lindsey Buckingham (who was a year behind her at Menlo-Atherton) when she was a senior. After a few years spent performing with Buckingham (both in the band Fritz and as a duo), she joined Fleetwood Mac in 1975 (along with Buckingham).

Nicks has been successful both as a member of Fleetwood Mac and in her solo career, begun in 1981. Her first solo album, Bella Donna, has been certified quadruple-platinum. Rolling Stone has named her one of the 100 Greatest Songwriters of All Time as well as one of the 100 Greatest Singers of All Time. In 1998, Nicks was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Fleetwood Mac. She has received eight Grammy Award nominations as a solo artist.

Nicks released her most recent album in 2014 and continues to tour.
