Tommy Lee Jones (born September 15, 1946) is an American actor and film director. He attended St. Mark’s School of Texas where he played football and was a part of the drama club, glee club, and school newspaper staff. He graduated in 1965 and went on to attend Harvard College. Jones began his acting career on Broadway in 1969 in A Patriot for Me, where he played a number of different supporting roles. In 1970, he landed his first film role in Love Story where he played a student at his alma mater Harvard. Throughout the 70’s Jones continued to do both Broadway and film.
