David William Duchovny<\/strong> (born August 7, 1960) is an actor, producer, director, writer, and singer-songwriter. He is a 1978 graduate of Collegiate High School<\/a>, in New York, NY, where he was a member of the Student Advisory Council as well as a star player on both the varsity basketball and varsity baseball teams. Duchovny became interested in acting while pursuing a Ph.D. at Yale. One of his earliest roles was a bit part in 1988\u2019s Working Girl<\/em>. This was soon followed by a role in three episodes of the popular series Twin Peaks<\/em>. Duchovny\u2019s career skyrocketed after he was cast as Fox Mulder in The X-Files<\/em>, which premiered in 1993. In addition to the original series, he portrayed Mulder in two X-Files<\/em> movies and a 2016 six-episode revival. Duchovny is also well known for his starring role in the series Californication<\/em>, for which he was also executive producer. Other acting projects have included Return to Me<\/em>, Evolution<\/em>, Zoolander<\/em>, and the series The Red Shoe Diaries<\/em> and Aquarius<\/em>.  Duchovny released his first music album, Hell or Highwater<\/em>, in 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
