Joseph Francis \u201cJoe\u201d Buck<\/strong> (born April 25, 1969) is a sportscaster. He graduated from St. Louis Country Day School<\/a>, in Ladue, MO, in 1987, where he was a member of the football team. He was also voted Class Heckler in his senior yearbook. Buck got his start in broadcasting while he was still in college, following in the footsteps of his father (sportscaster Jack Buck). In 1991, he started broadcasting for the St. Louis Cardinals on both TV and radio. Two years later, he was also doing play-by-play for the University of Missouri\u2019s basketball games. In 1994, Buck was hired by Fox Sports, and he soon became the youngest man to have a regular role announcing NFL games on network TV. Buck became Fox\u2019s lead play-by-play announcer for MLB games in 1996, the same year he also became play-by-play announcer for the World Series. In 2002, he became Fox\u2019s lead play-by-play announcer for NFL games as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
