John Adam Belushi<\/strong> (January 24, 1949 \u2013 March 5, 1982) was a comedian, actor, and musician. He graduated from Wheaton Community High School<\/a>, in Wheaton, IL, in 1967. He was a very active student \u2013 he participated in football, drama, and forensics, among other activities \u2013 and was named All-Conference in football as well as Homecoming King and Most Humorous during his senior year. Belushi got his start as a comedian shortly after graduating and joined Second City in 1971. He was one of the original cast members of Saturday Night Life<\/em>, which debuted in 1975. While at SNL<\/em>, he and cast member Dan Aykroyd created the duo known as the Blues Brothers. They branched out and formed a band to back them and soon recorded an album (Briefcase Full of Blues<\/em>), which went double platinum. Several others followed. Belushi co-starred in Animal House<\/em> in 1978 before leaving SNL<\/em> the following year. He and Aykroyd went on to co-star in The Blues Brothers<\/em> as well as two other films (1941<\/em> and Neighbors<\/em>). Belushi had several projects in the works (including co-starring with Aykroyd again in Ghostbusters<\/em>) at the time of his death. He posthumously received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2004 and was named the greatest SNL<\/em> cast member of all time by Rolling Stone<\/em> in 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
