William Hall Macy, Jr.<\/strong> (born March 13, 1950) is an actor, screenwriter, and theater director. He graduated from  Allegany High School<\/a>, in Cumberland, Maryland, in 1968, where he was a member of the Thespians as well as junior class president. Macy\u2019s big breakthrough was being cast as the lead role in Fargo<\/em>, a role with which he is still most associated. He has acted in numerous films and TV shows over the years and currently stars in the series Shameless<\/em>. Macy is also director-in-residence at the Atlantic Theater Company in New York. Macy and his wife, Felicity Huffman, were each awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2012.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
