Benjamin Jeremy Stein (born November 25, 1944) is a lawyer, economist, commentator, writer, and actor. He graduated from Montgomery Blair High School, in Silver Spring, MD, in 1962. Stein went on to major in economics at Columbia College and to obtain a law degree from Yale Law School. In the course of his multi-faceted career, Stein has been a lawyer, university professor, speechwriter (for Presidents Nixon and Ford), political and economic columnist, and author of numerous books. He has also been quite active in the entertainment world. He made a big impression in his first role, as the monotone economics teacher in Ferris Bueller\u2019s Day Off<\/em>, and has gone on to appear in many movies and TV shows. Stein was also the co-host of the popular game show Win Ben Stein\u2019s Money<\/em>, which won five Daytime Emmy awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
