Ronald William<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cRon<\/strong>\u201d\u00a0Howard<\/strong>\u00a0(born March 1, 1954) is an actor and director. He graduated with the class of 1972 from\u00a0John Burroughs High School<\/a>\u00a0in Burbank, California. In high school, he played on the basketball team and was part of his school\u2019s public relations committee. Howard\u2019s first claim to fame was as Opie Taylor on\u00a0The Andy Griffith Show<\/em>. He later scored a leading role on the popular sitcom\u00a0Happy Days.<\/em>\u00a0After a six year run on\u00a0Happy Days<\/em>,\u00a0Howard moved into the role of director for which he would eventually be recognized with an Academy Award and an Oscar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
