Jeffrey \u201cJeff\u201d Warren Daniels<\/strong> (born February 19, 1955) is an American actor, musician, and playwright. He graduated with the class of 1973 from Chelsea High School<\/a>, in Chelsea, Michigan, where he was voted \u201cMost Representative Boy\u201d by his graduating class. He was also a member of the Madrigals and played on the basketball and baseball teams. Daniels began his acting career at the beginning of the \u201880s, making his big-screen debut in Ragtime<\/em>. Two years later, he landed his breakthrough role, co-starring in Terms of Endearment<\/em>. Although primarily a dramatic actor, Daniels became well-known for portraying Harry Dunne in the comedy Dumb and Dumber<\/em> (1994), a role he reprised for the film\u2019s 2014 sequel. Other notable movies include The Purple Rose of Cairo<\/em> (1985), Something Wild<\/em> (1986), Arachnophobia<\/em> (1990), Gettysburg<\/em> (1993), Pleasantville<\/em> (1998), The Hours<\/em> (2002), and The Squid and the Whale<\/em> (2005). More recently, he starred in the HBO series The Newsroom<\/em> (2012-2014). Daniels founded the Purple Rose Theater Company in Chelsea in 1991. He has also recorded six record albums and uses proceeds from their sales to benefit The Purple Rose Theater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
