In high school she was a lead in her school\u2019s musical production of Godspell<\/em> and during her sophomore and junior years went to the state championships with her school\u2019s basketball team two years in a row. Her senior class voted her as \u201cMost Comical\u201d, \u201cMost Popular\u201d, \u201cBest Dancer\u201d, and \u201cBest All-Around\u201d. After high school, she planned to study journalism at Florida A&M, but instead signed with a record label and released her first album All Hail the Queen<\/em>.
