Seinfeld began pursuing standup comedy professionally after college and started landing appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson<\/em>,<\/em> Late Night with David Letterman<\/em>, and other shows. He is best known for starring in the hit sitcom Seinfeld<\/em> (1989-1998), which he co-created and co-wrote with Larry David.
