Sharon Yvonne Stone<\/strong> (born March 10, 1958) is an actress, film producer, and former fashion model. She is a 1975 graduate of Saegertown High School<\/a>, in Saegertown, PA. A gifted student, Stone participated in drama and was a member of the newspaper staff, among other activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stone\u2019s first brief career was modeling, but she soon turned to acting. Her first on-screen appearance was in Woody Allen\u2019s 1980 film, Stardust Memories<\/em>. Other early projects include appearances in Silver Spoons<\/em> (1982) and Magnum, P.I.<\/em> (1984) and a major role in 1985\u2019s King Solomon\u2019s Mines<\/em>. Stone\u2019s breakout performance was her starring role in Basic Instinct<\/em> (1992). Notable films also include Casino<\/em> (1995), The Mighty<\/em> (1998), The Muse<\/em> (1999), Broken Flowers<\/em>(2005), and Fading Gigolo<\/em> (2013). Stone has done additional television acting as well. She appeared in The Practice<\/em> (2004) and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit<\/em> (2010) and starred in the one-season series Agent X<\/em> (2015). Most recently, she appeared in the 2017 film The Disaster Artist<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stone was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1995.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
