Courteney Bass Cox<\/strong> (born June 15, 1964) is an actress, producer, and director. She graduated from Mountain Brook High School<\/a>, in Mountain Brook, Alabama, in 1982. Cox had her first brush with fame in 1984 when she was pulled onto stage by Bruce Springsteen in the video for \u201cDancing in the Dark.\u201d That same year she also had her first acting role, in \u201cAs the World Turns.\u201d She is arguably most famous for portraying Monica Geller on \u201cFriends\u201d but has had numerous other acting roles, both in television and movies. Highlights include \u201cCougar Town,\u201d \u201cScream\u201d (and its 3 sequels), and \u201cAce Ventura: Pet Detective.\u201d Cox has received many award nominations for acting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
