two are Ayerdale Terriers one male and one female, the male's name is Ainsley stewart Ross, the female's name is Xena Isabella and my west highland terrier' her name is Connor Alesia. I took a trip to Scotland on my honeymoon to try and
trace my family's immigration and the trip was great. I went to Edinburgh which is part of the low lands of Scotland and got to go see Edinburgh Castle. I also got to stay over night in a bed and breakfast near Loch Ness. then there was
Ft Augstus, which is further up scotland and then we stayed at loch Lomond, and peebles and the last place we stayed in scotland was Lockerbie where the
pan Am incident happened and we met some really wonderful people there. then hubby and I treversed into England and went to Stratford upon Avon and wanted to go see where William Shakespeare was born, but we couldn't find his house. and then we went to Bath England to see the Roman Bath houses. that was totally awsome to see romans where they lounged and did politics at the
bath houses!!! before we left Scotland, hubby and I went to Tain which is the family Headquar...Expand for more
ters for Clan Ross. It was a true Scottish day, the weather was
damp and cold and the Rain fealt like you were being stuck with pins and needles
we went on a small self guided tour and we came across a couple of scottish gentlemen they must have thought we were nuts running out in the rain!!!! the people there are very generous and they will talk your ear off. LOL one of the most interesting places that we went to was the Mysterious Stonehenge. That
was quite a sight. At that time, you could walk all the way around the circumfrence of stonehenge and there was this cool vibe it was like going back into the time of the Druids. I guess I fealt that way due to my Scottish /celtic heritage. I have to say that to this very day, I learned more in those two and a half weeks of being In Scotland and England. I forgot to mention that we took at
trip to windsor England , where the Royal Family Home Castle is. it's pretty cool looking but I have to admit, Edinburgh Castle was the Best. I think that is why I enjoyed this trip so much, is because
that We went during off season tourist travel. and I got to talk
to alot of people. the funniest part of the trip was staying at a bed and breakfast
that was near Loch Ness. I recall that there was no road lights at all so it's totally
pitch dark, and hubby and I ( then) Joked alot about driving off of the narrow drive way and becoming Nessie bait LOLOLOL. But we also got to hear some cool Scottish local ghost stories one was concerning two Rock bands one of the bands were Led Zeplin. and the other isn't coming to mind at this point. Tim had told us of the two bands staying there in the 70's. Tim's experience living at this
castle was rather interesting as there is some stories told of eeery creepies going on. LOL I am glad that I took this trip we went through a few hastles but in the end it was well worth the trip.
