Karen's Story

Life I live a very simple, relax life in Florida. My husband, Bill, my daughter, Kristine, and I moved to Florida when Bill retired in June of 2004. I chose to return to work, teaching parents effective parenting skills and children's developmental stages. After 25 years as a Social Worker/Clinical Counselor in a Residential Treatment Center, this job is a peice of cake. I really like it a lot. When I'm not working I'll go golfing, swimming, to the beach, work out at the gym, travel, bowling, go to the flea markets, take a day to Orlando - shopping at the outlets, Tampa - Hard Rock Cafe to play the slots or Clearwater beach, or ride my golf cart to the Market square for live entertainment. n a retirment community called "The Villages". My husband, Bill, is 9 years older than I am. They use their golf cart as a second car around here. Go to "thevillages.com" and check it out. I love the weather down here. It's better than the snow in Buffalo, New York. I moved to Buffalo, New York after I graduated from Alter. I'm really enjoying my life and I love what I'm doing. My daughter, Kristine, is 21 years old, goes to college, and works as a waitress at Nancy Lopez Country Club. They have 26 gold courses here to play on including Arnold Palmer golf course and Nancy Lopez golf course. I love the palm trees and seeing the sun sets. It is nice, and I wouldn't want to live any were else.
