Barbara's Story
I always wanted to be a missionary when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a crazy idea. As it turns out, they were probably right.
I call people I know and trust and vent. I also make jokes of just about everything
I had everyone in Algebra bring in pennies to pay their fines with. John Gilmore and I went to the back to get the pennies
I don't believe in heros. We can all be heros a one time or another
I lived in Virginia, Maryland, three cities in Illinois, Tennessee, North Carolina, back to Nebraska where I lived in Blair, Omaha, Lincoln, Norfolk, Columbus and now I live in Houston Texas. I move so much that North American Van Lines sends me a Christmas card
The only thing I like about TV is Football, Sponge Bob, and Phineas and Ferb. I rarely listen to the news. It is depression.
My biggest surprise. But family ties are strong and my grand kids live here. Still called a Yankee after 11 years.
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel my bath room and add on a Jacuzzi. My dream home would be house in the country with no homeowners association..
My kids are into money and don't recycle. It drives me crazy.
If I could see one teacher again it would be Mr. Geisler. He really loved teach...Expand for more
ing English and shared his enthusiam with his students
If I won $100 million, I'd give some of it to the Susan G Koman Foundation, then spend the rest on my grand kids education, chocolate and travel..
My current age is 63. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be dead. I was so completely wrong.
I have no career aspirations except to sell sea shells down on the sea shore.
My best friend would tell you I'm very smart, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as average.
In 10 years, I hope to be retired. I'm going to get there by working two jobs and buying lottery tickets..
My oldest friend is Judy Kidd Stiefel. WE met in English class. She sat behind me.
Everyone would be surprised that I have very little grey hair and that I refuse to play dress up. Also I am still thin. I wear a size six
My first job was at John Hancock, where I got paid 6000 per year to pay insurance claims. What I remember most about it is that the men were paid more.
My favorite childhood memory is sliding down the hill by my house in the winter and then coming inside to drink hot chocolate. It doesn't snow enough to do that in Houston. Two inches of snow sends the city into an emergency
