Denise's Story

Life Hi Everyone! I hope all is well. For those of you I haven't talked to for some time, I'll bring you up-to-date. Currently, I live in Milliken (just east of Johnstown); my family still lives in Erie, so I hope to move to the Erie area soon. I've been divorced for quite some time, and I have no children, but I enjoy supporting my niece and my second cousins during their formative years. I work for the city of Longmont as a fire fighter/EMT-B; I worked in the hospital setting for 13 years prior to becoming a fire fighter. Recently, I found a great volunteer opportunity helping with the Erie High girl's basketball and track teams; I forgot how much I missed organized sports!! I look forward to connecting with my classmates and other graduates of Erie High! School Wow, I can barely remember what happened yesterday, let alone 25 years ago, but there are a few memories that come to mind. There are a few teachers that have since retired from teaching who really inspired me: Mr. Guida, Mrs. Vogel, Mrs. Mazzini, and Mr. Binkley truly inspired me and were great mentors; I still see Mrs. Vogel and Mrs. Mazzini - they look great and they seem to be enjoying retirement! My biggest crush, there were many, but it's hard to forget Brad Pounds; I would really like to know where he is today! I re...Expand for more
member having a diverse group of friends; I learned so much from each one of them! It would be great to get in touch with them! I really enjoyed growing up in a small town and attending a small school; I think it really help me become the person I am today. College I attended the University of Northern Colorado from 1983 until 1987. I graduated with a BA in Exercise and Fitness (Exercise Physiology), and I was hoping to work with college athletes as a strength and conditioning coach. During college, I also had the opportunity to play for the UNC women's basketball team; I had fun playing, and I was able to travel to quite a few interesting places. Instead, I got married, and I took a job with North Colorado Medical Center as an Exercise Technologist in the Cardiac Rehab Division. That went well for about 13 years, until I needed a new challenge; I became an EMT-Basic, and started testing for fire departments along the Front Range. I've been with the Longmont Fire Department for seven years now, and have enjoyed the educational and promotional opportunities it has offered. I Workplace (Please see college.) Military No military experience. I want to thank those individuals who went into the military - I admire and respect their commitment to protect the citizens of the USA!
