Life
Married Linda Tucker, MHS Class of '69, in 1970...We have two daughters - Ali (born in 1974 and still living in Greater Cincinnati) and Lesley (born in 1993 and a sophomore at MHS '09-'10). Word has it having a child this late in life is supposed to keep you young, but the jury is still out on that one!
Workplace
Worked for Ford Motor Co. after leaving the Navy...Spent 16 great years with Mercury Instruments where I honed my Customer Service skills...During the same time period, I delved into politics and was elected to 4 terms as a Deerfield Twp. trustee and also did weekend radio shows for Cincinnati Country Music Station WUBE/B-105 from 1980-1996. to be in my fourth term which began in 2009. I also had the privilege of serving the Ohio Clerk of Courts Association as President in 2004.
In 1999, my wife, Linda (Tucker) and I, along with her sister Steph and husband Bob Drake, bought the soft-serve ice cream business that's been on Main Street in Mason since we were kids. Over the years the business has had several names but we call it Tucker's Whippy Dip. It has been fun building the business back up.
Military
Enlisted in the US Navy in 1970...Trained as a Serbo-Croatian linguist (47 weeks) at DLIWC, Monterey, CA...served overseas at Rota Naval Station, Spain, spending much of my tour as the morning on-air personality for American Forces Radio until mustering out in 1974.
