Linda's Story
Life
I came to Kennedy at the end of the Junior year due to my Father being relocated to McGuire AFB. My parents owned a home in Twin Hills at the time. After attending 4 High Schools it makes it pretty rough developing friendships. I grew up in the Military. It precipitates good social skills and life adjustments since you do move around a lot. I just wish I could find my friend Steve Cohen that was one year behind me who lived in Garfield East. We hung around quite a bit. My only reqret from JFK is not following my dream to play softball. me play to join the softball team. I told him that I worked part-time and I didn't have time. I have always though that was a bad move. I loved softball more than any sport that I have done or still do. I have had a happy and busy life. I have 3 daughters. I own a successful business. Opera, kayaking, dragon boat racing , long distance bicyling, backpacking, dancing have been my long time favorite activites. I have slowed down but still do what I can due to my current location and my time schedule. Living on a mountain, a 35 minute distance from even the nearest McDonalds does slow you down quite a bit.
