Vicki Jo's Story
Life
11/7/08. I retired six years ago from Virginia Tech, and now have free time to pursue activities with my husband, Billy Joe. I enjoy spending lots of time with our grandchildren; going to auctions, antique automobile shows, Outer Banks; singing in the choir at Faith Missionary Baptist (just across the street from our house in Christiansburg), etc. We have three grandsons (Kyle Steven Phoenix, who was 9 on July 9; Logan Daniel Robertson, who was 7 on Sept. 15; and Cameron David Phoenix, who was 4 on June 23. We have one granddaughter, Michaela Taryn Robertson, who turned a great big 2 on May 26. Our son Taz Phoenix (31 years old) worked for the last seven years as an Army Reserve recruiter, and before that served one year in the Army as a MP in South Korea, and was a member of the Old Guard in Arling...Expand for more
ton for 2 1/2 years. For the last two years he and his two sons lived here in Christiansburg, but he will be leaving for Iraq around the first of November. Until he returns his sons will temporarily live with their grandmother and mother in Alabama. Our daughter Loren Deanne (35) lives with her husband Todd Robertson and two children in C'burg; and my stepdaughter Crystal (30) and her husband James Lane also live in C'burg, and Crystal is pursuing a doctorate degree at Virginia Tech. High School: I miss seeing all of my classmates, and wish that we could have a mass reunion (ADHS, SHS & EMHS), and think that the July 4 celebration at Shawsville would be a great time to do this. College: I would love to hear from my dear classmates at Piedmont Bible College.
