Life
Have returned from Las Vegas. Had a great time. While my daughter was in classes, I toured Liberace's museum. It was very interesting seeing all the costumes he used to wear in shows. Took some tours. First one was to Hoover Dam. It was educational and at the same time, fun. The day it was scheduled, I got on the wrong bus so had to reschedule. My other tour was out to the desert. I was the only one scheduled for the tour so had my own guide. Valley of Fire is the first state park in Nevada. Saw mountains that the indians had written and painted on. There were rock formations that were of different shapes. All of them red. A lunch was provided on the tour. Ate lunch in a picnic area where we, along with another tour, watched the ground squirrels running around so fast it was hard to get pictures. Lunch was a box lunch a...Expand for more
nd a bottle of water. In the eve., my daughter and I had dinner, went sightseeing and gambled some. I actually learned how to play blackjack(with her coaching), play roullet and of course, had fun on the slot machines. We went to a show on the last night. During the week, one eve., saw Chris Angel tape some of his t.v. show. There was a lot more to see in Vegas than I thought. Only one little disappointment. Wayne Newton was out of town. Now, I am back to the regular routine of taking care of things at home and giving my time to my husband. It helps to get away once in a while and get a new perspective.
School
FranklinTwp.HighSchool1952-1956. After graduation, went to work for Indiana National Bank until I married and moved to Nebraska. There, worked at a bank for a while as well as babysitting and working in a day care center.
