Alfred's Story

So far, after graduating in 1947... I left Coronado in 1951 and spent a year on Long Island with relatives. The town was Far Rockaway where I was actually born before moving to Coronado in 1942. I felt California was a better place to be as a 21 year old so I moved back. After leaving San Diego (after returning from Long Island) I moved to Santa Ana where I lived until I got re-married in 1960 and then moved to Costa Mesa. We l...Expand for more
ived there for 7 years and then in 1967 moved to Newport Beach where we have lived in the same house ever since. I decided to settle in Newport Beach because it reminded me of both Far Rockaway and Coronado, and I wanted to raise my 2 boys in a beach environment I appreciated from my childhood. This year I will celebrate 48 years of marriage to my beautiful wife Lesly. More to come as I remember it...getting old is the pitts
