Kathy's Story
Life
After living overseas one year in Paris, I decided I loved city life and moved to Chicago. In 1982 I became a Christian in while working on my M.A. in Linguistics, got married, and had five children who had been home schooled. My husband teaches Special Education in a public school.
Our dream had been to take the whole family to Paris--and we did it in 2003! We also taught a month in Beijing, a week in Mexico, three weeks along the Rhine River, and visited Korea and Denmark. My mediocre French only became a hobby for us and ...Expand for more
each August we have friends from Marseille spend a few weeks here.
I now teach composition at Wright College hoping freshmen learn some critical thinking skills. It is a blessing to have a job central to the needs of the city. One daughter graduated from Moody Bible Institute, two of my kids are studying there now, and one is in chef school.
We are celebrating 25 years of marriage by serving wine and cheese at an open house. To see God's blessings abundantly in every day life, close relationships, and his provision are amazing.
