Dana's Story
Life
After I left Ashland I went to school at Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, OK and got a Bachelors degree in Music. I married Robert Smith, and had/have 3 children together. two sons and a daughter. We were married 26 years. The early years we lived in Cimarron, KS, Anthony, KS, Clovis, NM, Portage, IN, Glendale, AZ, Westminster, CA, Mustang, OK and Enid, OK. Yeah, our theme song was "On the Road Again"! We stayed in Enid 7 years until my job took us to Edmond, OK and we have been there ever since 1996. Rob and I divorced in 2006. I remarried and have been married to Mike Price for 7 years.
The early years I taught school (choral music ) and gave private piano lessons while raising my young boys. In the early 90's I began working full time as Minister of Music in the Nazarene Church and served until 2005. At that time I changed career paths and worked in sales. That brings me to the present. I am a part time worship leade...Expand for more

My children are the bright spot in my life. I do not have grand children yet, but I hear that it's just the best thing yet. Maybe some day I will know. My oldest son (33 yrs.) is getting married May 15th (next week) and lives in Edmond, OK. My middle son (31 yrs.) is married and living in Denver, CO. My daughter (21yrs.) is finishing her Junior year at Oklahoma State University.
All of my extended family live in Oklahoma with the exception of my father, who still lives in Ashland. I do get back to Ashland several times a year to visit him, as he is very ill. I enjoy visiting my dad and just roaming the streets of Ashland either on foot (just because I can) or riding around on his golf cart. I love visiting with people as I go by on my walks and just taking a deep breath and enjoying the crisp blue skies. Ashland was a great place to grow up!
