April Joy's Story

Life 2008! 2007 was a long and trying year. I'm now a single mom but enjoying every moment with my son, so the struggle seems a little bit less of a struggle I can't believe its already been 10 years since I was last in highschool. What up class of 98!!! Well gotta go. I hope all is well with all my classmates. You can read my past writings below. 2004 Hey Everybody and my future visitors: I am alive, Thank the Lord! What have I been up to? Well, I left Beautiful Fort Pierce (or as I was told, the "city w/ no pity" )in 98', to end up in the "Second Coming of Fort Pierce" (but bigger), AKA: Tallahassee. I saw more of ya'll there then here, since I've been back. I attended FSU. GO SEMINOLES!! I finished in Dec 2001 w/ a Degree in English--Creative Writing. I stayed a resident and working class citizen there, till summer 04 and went to a place more "deader" than Fort Pierce(it will remain nameless, but think of alot of crop land). Hated it! Now,I'm back in the Fort for a lil' bit(but the storms started to scare me away). 2006 *UPDATE* I made it though the storms and actually got with the Love of My life (an old friend I lost touch with) and we got engaged before the end of 04'. Before 2005 ended, we got married and welcomed to our lives a beautiful baby boy. I previously wrote this in Fall 04': "So if you want to catch up w/ me, do it quick, b/c I'm over my fear of flying and I have alot of places I've yet to see before I settle down permenantly(probably not Fort Pierce) So, Give your girl a hollar!" *UPDATE* I'm set...Expand for more
tled down now. However, I'm still not ready to make Fort Pierce my permenant stop. However, I'm just enjoying life as it is right now. I'm still in love with my wonderful man and now I have another little man I'm in love with. Its beautiful baby! Take Care!! God bless! School If my life didn't change too much afterwards, I would have picked one school and stayed there (I attended 3 different schools during highschool). By my junior yr I was tired of being the new girl, I was ready to get out of there. There were fun times, but being new wasn't one of them. I spent more time at my part time jobs, LOL. College *UPDATE*: I am currently pursing my Masters in Management of Information Systems. Below is what I wrote in Fall 2004: Learned alot. Fortunately and unfortunately, much of this learning was outside of college. However, I wouldn't take it back for anything. I cherish the lasting TRUE friendships I gained while attending. I learned also that I want to do many things and there's nothing wrong w/ exploring what your calling is. Also, age doesn't matter when attending school, so those of you who want to go back and try at something else, don't be discouraged and don't give up. I also learned that student loans are a motha..woops, lol. But in the end I think it will be worth the debt. I loved (and hated to a small extent) the college life and its a great thing to experience. Workplace NO COMMENT!!!! Military Almost went in twice. But, somehow something always stopped me. However, I support our troops. Come home safe!
