Kimberly's Story
Life
I've been living in Sydney, NSW, Australia since October 2002. People ask me if I will stay, but I honestly don't know! I am single with no children and my degree in I.T. lets me go just about anywhere.
I am thinking of breaking out of the rat race and opening and art gallery - looking at enrolling in a Masters in Art Administration at University of New South Wales. Will I have the guts to do it?
I miss New England's seasons and the culture - but Sydney's fantastic weather makes it easy to do the things I like to do - kayaking, tennis, golf, swimming.
I swim in the Olympic Pool under the harbour bridge before work in the mornings (outdoor but heated in winter) and teach swimming on Saturday afternoons. I practice aikido several times a week and plan to go for my brown belt this year.
Still looking for Mr. Right ...

After graduating from college, I worked in the Boston area for about 5 years. A lot of my friends were settling down or starting to think seriously about it, but I wasn't ready. So I went to Japan to teach English. I meant to be away for only a year ... it's been closer to six now.
After my first year in Japan I decided to go back into I.T. and was snapped up by an investment bank. My first month there they didn't know what to do with me so sent me to a conference in India for a week - awesome!
I stayed another two years before the crowded living got to me. Seen "Lost in Translation"? I lived about a 20 minute walk from where most of the filming was done.
I travelled for about 8 months while I waited for my Australian visa to come through - I had enough of the right work experience to sponsor myself for a permanent resident visa & so here I am.
