Robert's Story
I still have my red hair - there is just a fringe of gray around it. And I put on some weight. Left Bangor High weighing 125. Now I weigh 205. Just a little soft around the edges.
Got my bachelors of science in computers at MIT after 3 1/2 years. What an idiot - I thought it was more important to save money than to stay another semester and take fun electives. Then I went out to Utah for a masters at the Univ. of Utah. Met a local girl. Married. Spent three years in Silicon Valley. Then moved back to Utah.
Along the way, raised 4 daughters. Oldest is married and we now have 3 grandchildren. 3rd oldest is engaged. The Sunday dinner table just keeps expanding.
Have worked at a couple big companies along the way, worked for myself as a contractor for about 7 years, participated in a number of startups. At present my job title is Principal Firmware Enginee...Expand for more
r with Digi International where I design mesh networking protocols. Had no idea high tech employment was going to be so volatile. It's fun getting paid to do the equivalent of crossword puzzles all day.
I miss Maine's trees, soft water, and the ocean. But the vistas and the mountains here (and the DRY heat) are great.
Boy, people outside of Maine have funny accents...

Making plans to retire.
Three of four daughters are married.
Four grandchildren at present, fifth is on the way.
Hair is turning white (red hair does not go gray then white).
Weight peaked at 229, crossed the A1C l;ine to qualify as diabetic with hypertension, lost weight to 192 with very strict diet and some medication, A1C got well within normal, current weight after the holidays is 208 and almost no medication (some supplements).
