Christine's Story

Life let's see, I moved out to california in 1972, being transfered out with Allied Chemical and landed a job in their sister company at Foremost Mc-Kesson in human resources. It was in downtown San Francisco which I loved. Got the traveling bug and headed to Panama, Greece, New Mexico, and then back to California where I have been since. I love the SF bay :) I have three girls, 32 (gulp) 23 and 21. I have 2 grandbabies (another gulp) 9, and 6. I have worn many hats, but the one I love most was when I was a tobacco and drug educator in rough Oakland High Schools and in juvie hall. I did my internship at the Haight Ashbury free clinic and have become a Certified Addictions Treatment Specialist. Sadly, the government has cut funding for such wonderful programs so I no longer am a consultant doing that work. Right now I am working with a doctor who specializes in HIV/AIDS> I do alot of counseling and love this job as well. I continue to oil paint, which is my first love. I've had some hard knocks, but seem to land on my feet. I was a single mom early on and i adore my girls. Sage is a massage therapist and mom, Laura is an actor in LA and graduated Long Beach with Honors in Theater Arts, and Emily goes to San Diego State and teaches autistic children swimming. Couldn't ask for better hearted children :) I live in Sausalito with my sweetie, Graham, a Britt who races Alfas, and is funny as all...Expand for more
get out! I coach special olympics year round. I know ASL ( American sign language) so it comes in handy. I route for the underdog and humane causes. What else did you expect from me :D ! My beloved sister Judy died Feb. 06 of a sudden cardiac arrest with no warning, and left a huge whole in my life. She was my sister and best friend. Both my parents are deceased as well. A crummy part of growing older. Abby Steinberg and I are still bestests! :) Ok kiddos, that's about it. I still love life, the ocean, music and the arts. Drop me a line if you wish....... be well......... christine Abi has since passed away from ovarian cancer. Her 4 year battle with this awful disease over. She died on Aug. 22, 2008. A month after my last visit with her :( School my biggest crush?? well, I had a few, Keith Lindstrom on going from kindergarten :) Then there was Mark Zablow, Bruce Goldstein and Bobby Meyers. I didn't date much from my HS, more the South Orange boys, sorry! Plus I dated older guys...giggles.. now my beloved's a tad bit younger than me ....go figure :D The funniest thing is in junior high school, i think, when we had singing with the teacher Wally Asper. We were having a concert, and instead of singing hot tamales, we sang uncle wally !!! TOO FUNNY. My fav time was hanging out with my dear friends abby and louise. Now now girls, stop fighting over who's my best friend, you BOTH are !
