Michael's Story

Life After high school I moved back to the Seattle area (Auburn) to attend Seattle University. After one year I enlisted in the Air Force to see the world. As an electronics technician I saw Alaska and Kansas. It was actually a lot of fun, I met some great people. I met and married my wife in Kansas and we moved back to Auburn where we raised our two daughters. I worked for Boeing, Heath Tecna and Paccar as a design engineer and while at Paccar got my BS from City College. After Paccar I went to Hitco Composites as Engineering Manager, then Furon as Operations Manager and finally was VP General Manager at Rogerson Hiller, Aerocomposites in Port Ang...Expand for more
eles. I moved back to Auburn in 1996 and have been semi-retired ever since working out of my home as a technical and business development consultant. You can contact me using mfcalabrese at msn dot com anytime. This has allowed me to thoroughly enjoy watching my 5 grand children grow and share my life experiences with them. Not many people get to bail out of the rat race at age 57, but I did and it is great! This has been a rough year in that my wife of 46 years passed away in February... things are starting to get back to normal but it has been a very difficult adjustment. The family has been my solid support throughout this trying time.
