Bruce's Story

Hey all! Yes I'm still alive. LOL It's hard to believe for me too. (smile) All I can say is that its been a great ride so far. At the moment I am widowed and dating. My wife of 22 years passed away after a long battle with MS. I have one son who is 23 this year. I also took in my Niece at the age of 11 and raised her as my own. Both have grown into fairly well adjusted adults........OK mostly. LOL For the better part of 25 years I was a Teamster working in the steel industry. The work was hard, dirty and dangerous and I loved it so. It was never about the money and the money was good. I just liked what I did. In the process I've probably had over 3000 stitches on different parts of my body. After my wife passed I decided that I needed a change and now work for the Federal Government. I can't say any more on that because they get funny when we talk in public forums. I write in my free time though I doubt you have read any of my work. I've raced bicycles and still ride for fun. I've ridden a chopper all over the east coast and still ride. In my free time I frequent Broadway, visit museums and historical sites and make a point to ride as meny rollercoasters as i can get to. Life is to short not to cherish every moment of it and I've done my best to do just that. I've sky dived and gone rock climbing. Hell I even lived on a farm with 10 others for a few years. Can't say I would do it again. But it was an experience no...Expand for more
t to be missed.......OK, Rita and Tina had a large part to do with that. LOL Lovely women who remain close to my heart. I live not to far from where I grew up. I just love the area. No place else I've gone over the years has access to the culture I have within a 3 hour drive. NYC, Philly, DC and Baltimore with their unique cultures and venues are all close. The shore points and mountains are within a day trip and the weather can't be beat. Falls colors, springs beauty and even winters snows. So when I finally settled down I came home and bought this condo. Ohh! Now that I remember. About 15 years ago I ran in to Mr. Spicer. He had retired by then and attended the same church as my wife and a coworker. Imagine my surprise when she came home from church to tell me someone there knows me from school. LOL My only regret is Debbie. If you're out there Debbie I am sorry. I was an ass and you deserved better. I couldn't tell you my true feelings then and have regreted it ever since. Not a month has gone by these past 35 years that I wish I could take back that last day and tell you how I felt about you. You can find me on My Space as Alexandertg1955 Or contact me on Yahoo's IM at the same nick. Or on the Schools Alumni site which is here. west.bcitalumni.org The link is posted at the request of Nancy Cunningham who teaches at the school these days and also Admins the site. She hopes you all come and check it out.
