Misty's Story
Life
I am married to Len, a Cobb County firefighter. I am a new Assistant Principal at East Paulding High School. We have two children , James, who just turned 11 in June 2009, and Gracie, who turned 6 this past December 2008. I just recently completed my Specialist Degree in Education.
College
I graduated from West Georgia College in 1995 with a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education. I then returned in 1998 and completed a Master's Degree in Special Education with a Focus on Behavioral Disorders in 2000. nd I am finally done (for a while)since I completed my Specialist Degree through Jacksonville State University.
Workplace
I started teaching at East Paulding Middle School in the special ed department. I then moved to Nebo Elem. and then took a year off to stay home with my son. Once I returned, I was at East Paulding High School for 5 years and then moved to Hiram High School for 4 years. I have been the Lead special ed teacher at Hiram and taught American Lit and British Lit to students with learning and behavioral disorders. I am now an Assistant Principal at East Paulding High School.
