Paul Cantrell:

CLASS OF 1975

Paul's Story

Life Well, I didn't get very far from Indy. After graduating from Perry Meridian, I went to Purdue to study tennis, er, I mean biochemistry. I actually managed to do both - playing varsity tennis 4 years and graduating in biochemistry (OK, it took me 5 years). I also met my future wife at Purdue, nee Kimberly Anne Murphy, from Louisville. We both settled in Indianapolis after college and married in 1981. We have three wonderful children, Jared, Aaron, and Miriam, and are nearly empty nesters (yes, there is life after children). Jared and Aaron are Perry Meridian graduates and Miriam is currently a junior at Lutheran High. r a couple of years (85-87), but found our way back to Indy and a job in research at Eli Lilly. In 1990 at Lilly's request, I enrolled in law school at night and received training in patent law during the day. I've been there ever since and have enjoyed every minute (well, most minutes). Church activities are a big part in the life of our family. We currently attend Community Church at Murphy's Landing and enjoy participating in the work being done there (y'all are welcome). I even get the chance to play my violin on Sunday mornings in the contemporary services, which has been a blast. Aaron and Miriam are both quite gifted musically and have also been regular contributors to the music program. Kim and I also help lead a group of young adults there (sad to say, not our peer group). Life and health are great -- looking forward to the next 40 years.
