Mark's Story
After graduation from North I went to Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA for three years and on the first day of my senior year I dropped out and went to Europe to become a teacher of Transcendental Mediation. I travelled around the US and Europe for three years teaching TM and then did get my BA and attended Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA where I received an MA in the History of Religion.
While in college my family moved from NC to the San Francisco Bay area where I have remained for the past 20 years except for a short 2 year sojourn to LA where I worked in the film business. I was married and divorced and married again in 1989. We have 2 children, 18 & 20..

ers.
In the winter of 2008 I was hospitalized for 4 months due to complications from diabetes. I decided to get my health in order and had a gastric by pass and have since lost 175lbs and beaten diabetes. After a long battle I had to have my left foot amputated in July of '09. Everything has gone great with my physical rehab and I am walking and getting around without any problems.
I recently went back to work as an operations manager for a "green" start-up here in the Bay Area. We design and manufacture reusable shopping bags that are sold on the internet, retail shops but our primary business are school fundraisers. Thousands of schools and organizations all over the country are selling our bags to raise money in these tough times. The company is called Mixed Bag Designs and can be found on the web.
