Jennifer Leith:  

My life has been wonderful, full of hard work and good times with family and friends. I was blessed to share 50 wonderful years with my amazing hubby, Jamie, who left us peacefully in January 2020 after a long illness. I miss him every single day. My two wonderful sons, brilliant daughters-in-law, and six awesome grandchildren are incredibly caring and supportive. They fill my heart with love and make me smile. I am busy, happy and look forward to whatever the future brings. My parents were often the hosts of many Earl Haig friends at our home in Willowdale but more often at our home on the Severn River. We lost both Mom and Dad in 2012, but they lived well and died happy and still in love. Jamie and I began our married life in Toronto and had the great advantage to live in many wonderful places since then including Peterborough, Miami, and Cambridge, ultimately retiring in Lagoon City on Lake Simcoe. Living and playing on the water is where I want to be, and what I want to do, for the rest of my days. . During high school, I think I was more interested in going to Peller's for a cherry coke and toasted Danish than my school work. My love of learning and passion for education really didn't begin until my post-secondary days, when I came to understand the value of both a college and a university education.
