Colin's Story
I'm working for Core Lab as a installation director and traveling all over the world. The company make specialized lab equipment for oil companies and Universities. I recently visited Russia, China and Malaysia on a six week trip. It's been a great experience and have met many great people. Experiencing the different cultures, foods and people have been an wonderful. Although I've had one trip to NE India that was a bit uncomfortable when I was met by an armed guard and told he would be with me during my stay. Although there was no trouble encountered, I felt like I had a target drawn on me.
In all my travels it seems all of us are basically the same. We want what's best for our family, gods love, food on the table, nice clothing and comfortable housing. It's to...Expand for more
o bad the world can't come together and make sure we all have this for our family, stop the bickering and make sure no one goes hungry.
When I see a foreigner in the US that needs assistance, I'll go out of my way to try to help, because I've had people help me when I was in their country and it is also the right thing to do.
I don't know who said it, but I like the saying; "Never look down on someone unless you are bending over to help them up".
I like the idea of helping someone, not asking for or accepting cash, just tell them "It's my pleasure and to pass it on".
