Francis's Story

Life I'm married, back living in the 'burbs after a short stint in the Loop and prosecuting as an Assistant DuPage County State's Attorney. I started dating my wife, Sharon Cordes, in the spring of 1995 and we were married on May 29, 1999. Mark Flory, a fellow Class of 93 graduate, was the best man. We moved to Chicago's Loop after we were married and I finished my third year of law school at DePaul. I was a judicial clerk for two years after graduating and recently joined the DuPage State's Attorney's Office in October 2002. That same month Sharon and I finally left the city and built a house in Naperville. School I went to the University of Glen Ellyn (COD!) for ...Expand for more
two years and then transferred to North Central College and graduated in 1997. Then I went on to DePaul law school and graduated in 2000. College I transferred to North Central from College of DuPage and was able to complete my degree in two years (whew!). I majored in Political Science with a minor concentration in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). I participated in the Honors Scholar program and received the award for Top Political Science graduate in 1997. Workplace After law school I spent two years clerking for the trial judges of the 18th Circuit Court in the Wheaton courthouse and recently took a position as an Assistant State's Attorney in DuPage County.
