Shelli's Story
So, Frank Renaud inspired me to write an update on this forum. I don't think I was nearly as invested in or as fond of high school as was Frank, but I really enjoyed reading his words, hearing his memories and getting a glimpse of his life since Troy High.
Looking back, I was a fairly odd duck in high school but, especially of late, I think more often of the great friends and acquaintances from back then and the influence they had on me. I love reading about the paths they've chosen and about their families.

lly led me to my current position as Legislative Director for the American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan. In short - my dream job. I work most often in Lansing but our state office is on Woodward in Detroit. My job takes me to DC frequently, and once the kids are on their own I would really like to work in DC.
Three of my children are in college and the last a freshman in high school. The oldest is a complete academic and enticingly liberal. She graduates in just a few months. My only son is a charmer and a jock. He wasn't big enough to continue playing football in college so he opted for rugby. Watching him play makes me wish I had been more involved in sports during school. My third works tirelessly at everything. She is driven and tends to be a little prudish, but I imagine she'll get over that. My youngest is a typical teenager - smart, cute and having a great time.
Wishing a Happy New Year to you all. I look forward to reading about old friends over this coming year.
