David's Story

Military Joined the U.S. Army after graduation. 1960/1963. Served 16 months in Korea. Return to Ohio after discharge but moved back to my hometown in Indy and joined the Indy Police Dept. Attended Indiana University and University Indianapolis.Also attended University of Southern Missouri and Northwestern Unv in Evanston Il. Met and married my first wife, Sherry while at I.U. n Jan 1985. Later met my second wife Emma Jean who is from a little farming community in Leipsic Ohio I now have 4 sons and 12 grandchildren all still residing in Dayton/Toledo area. Just recently retired from the Police Dept after 41 years of a great career.I am keeping busy assisting Emmy who is a Real Estate Agent in Indy. Have not got much of a chance to visit Cambridge but do have fond memories of High school and all my classmates.

Well well look what I found in a box in my basement. My badge and hat shield that was issued to me in the Academy Sept 1966. Brings back memories.

A week after I lost my first wife Sgt Sherry Dinkins. Guess I looked a little lost but God was there walking beside me.
My two patrol partners, On the left S Korean Marine Sgt Lee and on the right S Korean Air Police Sgt Yoo. Heard later Sgt Lee was killed in Nam. Both men were a credit to their country and units.
