Tim's Story

Life I am going to write fast and furious and then come back and edit when I get time... I turn 58 on August 17; I tend to make five year plans and am hard working on 60...gives me lots of things to keep doing besides being a workaholic...50 was great and brought in fantastic changes, 55 was caught up in too many pressing current events, personala and other, I have great hopes for 60... and every few minutes, days...years, I find I have another overwhelming epiphany and think I am about to get smarter; it carries me through until the next time. I have spent my life traveling, putting in 28 schools by the time I finished graduate school, and a couple of specialty schools. Left the US in late 75 early 76 and didn't return except for brief vacations until 2001; I have four sons, three grandsons, one granddaughter, another granddaughter on the way. I returned for my parents 60th anniversary in 2000, on my way from Lima to Cambodia, and ended up coming to be with them and my sons in 2001; thinking about taking off again, but no rush to do anything. I have greatly enjoyed and have been grateful for my life, have very few regrets, next to none, for what I have done, and only wish, as much as it was, I had just done more, and more, ...and I still want more. Spend most of my time working, spare time with sons, (both my parents passed away in 2002, and I was very thankful that events had led me to be here with them for their last few years), and spare spare time reading, drawing, painting, sculpt...Expand for more
ing, writing, just pondering, resting in movies, and in my spare spare spare time, sleeping. Because I have kept rolling around, I have tended to collect friends and places in my mind as a continuous album; Freeburg was always a special place, as was Saudi, Korea, Moscow and Peru, I still remember several people from Reed City and Abbeville, as short a time as I spent there, going through teen age anonymity, an art I came to value and master. As everyone else, I have changed tremendously and I am still the same as always...on the stupid questions/profile part, they do not allow me to put in that my pet peeve is tick boxes, small minds, pettiness, pigeonholing and other devices that limit or discourage adventurous growth, and questions that start out "what is your favorite....? !" I still talk too fast, ad lib make up lines if it seems better to me than what I should say, change directions subjects and drifts abruptly and frequently only to pick up the conversation or train of thought much later at an inappropriate time... frown and look much too stern and put offish...found out that was typical of my personality profile ...and still tend to do and say daft and absurd things; my mind, laughs, life and interests have been eclectic, and will probably continue that way. As I began, I will return and change all of this,as there is much more and it all changes as I watch it... so, so long, and drop me a line if you would or you wish... Always Tim Allen, who I am best and who I best am.
