I was sucked into the easy money of waitressing in FL
Bartending in AK, NM, and recently NV. It was fun, easy, and the money just couldnt be topped in any other job I had explored. After ten years of easy money I realized I couldnt be happpy for much longer in that business. I had finished my AA right out of HS but it was only good for getting into a University not a career! I started out in Sante Fe NM at Chinese Med. School, my passion, or so I thought. Halfway through the program I realized that I was not ready for the responsability of healing other people. ng enough in my own truths to begin to direct someone elses life. I left NM and later ended up at the University of Nevada, Reno. I studied Nutrition, Gardening and Herbology for sometime but still had no direction. All the while I was bartending at a local microbrewery and enjoying the culture and community around me. Eventually I found teaching to be my direction. Elementary K-6. When I got tired of part time work and part time school taking forever to graduate....I quit the bar and got lisenced with the county to substitute teach. It kept me focused and gave me experience that I really needed.
