David's Story
I got to Devens on the 5th of Dec., 1970. I left towards the end of Sep., 1973. My MOS was 33D2H. I excelled at night KP. I have fond memories of my buddies, Jim Frintz, Rich Bryant, Rick "Tarzan of the Cows" Klinger, Lenny the Kid, and many others. I also remember Major Road Guard, Sgt Frost, etc.
It was great. The big green machine. "Somedays a big bag of crap, somedays a little bag of crap. But you will always get your bag...Expand for more
of crap."
I went to AHS , graduated in 1966. It was a nice place and in a good time. Now and again I get back to Artesia and think of the old times.
I taught at Carlsbad for 25 years, 1975 to 2000. I am still amazed as to how quickly the years slipped away. I was fortunate to teach a subject that I'm still interested in and to enjoy the teaching of the subject. I still have fun at NMSU-C teaching the quadratic formula and the Pythagorean Theorem.
