Lorraine's Story
Life
After HS, lived in NY for a few years, working as a bank teller. Moved back to OH, where I met a Texan. We eloped, lived in Louisiana, Georgia, Colorado and Kansas. All Texans eventually return, and I have now been living in the Houston-Galveston area for nearly 30 years. I owned a carpeting sales company for several years, and closed it down when my husband needed help with his swimming pool construction company which was far more profitable. My husband died in 1998. I did not think that I would remarry, but another Texan found me when I was not looking, and we married Sept. of 2006. He scared me to death when he needed a quadruple heart bypass 6 weeks after we married. We live 1/2 mile from Galveston Bay, which suits him wel...Expand for more
l; his hobby is fishing, and we keep a 17 ft. Flatscat in the backyard. His other hobby is woodworking, which is why I cannot park in our garage. He retired from the railroad in late 2007, and I am putting him to work building furniture to keep him out from underfoot when he is not fishing.
I have 3 stepchildren from my first marriage, 15 stepgrandchildren, and 3 step great grandchildren!! I have a stepdaughter from my second marriage.
I have one son who works for the phone company, and two of the smartest and most beautiful granddaughters, 14 yrs. old and 4 yrs. old, along with two additional stepgrandchildren from my daughter-in-law's first marriage.
