Ruth's Story
I absolutely hated high school with a passion...I spent more time figuring out how to skip than I ever spent on homework. I ended up getting my GED instead of actually graduating. Later on, I went to college for six years and loved it. I wish I could still go to school full-time. It's so much more fun when you choose to go instead of being forced to go. I married when I was eighteen and have four great kids...am now divorced after thirty-two long years. My five grandchildren are a true pleasure in my life. I live in Oregon and am retired. I've become interested in dancing, live music, and socializing and just enjoying life as it happens.
I was born in Chicago and grew up in Upper MIchigan. I moved to Wisconsin when I was a senior in High School and got married when I was 18 and stayed in Wisc. for 32 y...Expand for more

There is someone from my past that I've never forgotten. I fell in love when I was 16 and I've never been able to forget him. I acted like a fool and ended up hurting him. I've never loved anyone like I loved him, but there are no do overs in life usually. I wish there were.
The wildest thing I did in school was smoking in the bathroom and getting caught and also spending time with other kids in the sick room taking aspirin and drinking coke which was supposed to make you high. I don't know if it did, but we had a lot of fun doing it. It was one of my favorite things to do...skipping school and going downtown and smoking. I guess I wasn't a very nice girl...I did mostly what I wanted to do no matter what.
