Brian's Story
Life
Well, just a recap of why you might find me in the group you did:
I was a student at North Smithfield from mid-term 7th thru late 9th grade.
I was a student at Bellevue West then to finish 9th and ultimately graduate.
I joined the Navy Reserve, went to Boot in San Diego in Sept 87, Company #934, and went to HM-'A' school in San Diego from November 87 to Feb 88. Class #88040
Anyway, since then, I returned to Nebraska, where I have lived ever since. I met my wife the summer after graduation, and we are still going strong 19 years later. We have 4 kids, the oldest starts at East next year (I don't know how I am going to cheer at his football games), and the youngest starts in 2 years...Expand for more
. I live in the house right across the street from where I lived in high school.
I had dreams of becoming a police officer, so I started Criminal Justice courses at UNO, but through some recommendations, I also joined the Volunteer Fire Dept. in Bellevue. Very quickly, I learned that Firefighting was great work, and I began following that dream. Back in 1998 I was hired as a firefighter for the City of Omaha, and I have been living the dream ever since... oh, I did finally finish that degree, in 2001. My other jobs keep me busy, and seeing lots of things, like the deserts of the middle east, and my new favorite working at Qwest Center Omaha, I get to see all the big shows... It is a good life!
