Life So about my life. Here goes. When I left EOM in grade 12, I went to Algonquin college for 2 years and took the Mental Retardation Counsellor course. I worked at the Rideau Regional Institution in Smith Falls for 2 months with severely handicapped women until I got an interview with the school board. I then worked at Crystal Bay School on Moodie drive, a school for the handicapped (16 years there) but asked for a transfer to Earl Of March High school and worked in a class with special needs kids for 4 years. I then was moved upstairs to the Guidance office in EOM to work with regular kids in classes. I must say I was terrified to work with high school kids as I had never done that before. But I am so happy for the change. I still work with special needs kids on the side after school some days. I also tutor a couple of young children and work with a language group one evening a week.
