Harold's Story
Life
After Central High School, I graduated from George Washington University with a degree in journalism. I worked 25 years in the newspaper business, mainly as a financial editor and writer at the Mercury News in San Jose, Calif.
I was married in 1971 and divorced in 1983. I raised my daughter, Sara, as a single dad. She is now a behavioral therapist in Manhattan, specializing in autistic children.

e in the newspaper business, I was on the board of directors of the San Jose Public Library and later the San Jose Library Foundation.
In 1997, I was disabled by illness. Since 2000, I have been living in Santa Fe, N.M., where I tutor school children in reading and writing. I also paint in a passionate if unskilled way.
I would be very happy to hear from anyone who remembers me from my days in Philadelphia.
